People tend to spend a lot of money on name brand items just to fit in. They just want to spend it because it’s Jordan or Gucci. Some of them really need to ask themselves, “Do name brands really matter?”

There are a lot of people that by items from Pink, Finish Line and Michael Kors just to show off. Most people can’t even afford to buy what they really need because they’re more focused on buying expensive items to look good.

When I scroll through Facebook, I see tons of people wanting the new high priced Jordans. Even though they might already have a lot of shoes, they still feel the need to buy the newest pair to stay in the latest trend.

I heard quite a few people talking about new Gucci Christmas sweaters. The price of these sweaters start at $900. Why would anyone want to buy one of these? If you ask someone that wants to buy it, their answer would most likely be because it’s made by Gucci.

Some people say that buying expensive items helps them save from decision making and that it expresses who they really are. I don’t think that having a high priced wardrobe is how you can tell a person’s personality. Yes, sometimes it is nice to buy expensive items, but wouldn’t you rather spend $900 on many different items than just one?

Stand up

The military isn’t really appreciated. You are standing and showing respect and honor for our nation. You are standing, honoring the people that serve our country. There is so many men and women fighting for our country and I think most people don’t really show respect towards them. I want people to recognize our marines, navy seals, soldiers etc and show more appreciation.

My boyfriend is in the military and that is what inspired me to talk about this. He serves our country and I just want people to be more appreciative of our troops. I feel that when someone without reason doesn’t stand, is being disrespectful towards the military. Just remember the next time you choose not to stand, the men and women in other parts of the world risking their lives for us.

How do you look at fashion? Are you more of a name brand type of person or do you think that names don’t matter? I️ see style as a way a person can put together two totally different pieces of clothing and make it look like a million bucks. If we looked at fashion as just name brand clothes, we wouldn’t have unique styles like we do now; fashion can show a person’s personality.

For a while there was a huge hype on the Jordan brand of shoes, but why? All because the famous basketball player created the line. That started a trend but was it fashion? Many people would say it’s fashion because you can wear the shoes with any type of clothing. This is true, but the trend started to die out after so many releases.

Fashion will never die out. It’s a never ending industry and it will continue to get bigger the more people realize what you wear shows who you are. You can be the poorest person in the city and have the closet of a bum. However you can still get compliments for your jean jacket, sweats, and Air Force Ones all because of how you wore it.

So the next time you go to the store and want to follow the fashion trend, remember you are your own trend. Fashion is you and how you wear that shirt you just bought.

Every day, species around the world are going extinct. And for each species that dies off, many more become and remain endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, human activities, and climate change.

Some species that are going extinct are Giant Otter, Amur Leopard, and a Bornean Orangutan. Found only in South America, Giant otters are the largest otters in the world, with some as long as 6 feet. They are also the rarest otters, with only a few thousand believed to be surviving in the wild.

Amur Leopard is one of the world’s most endangered wild cats. It has a thick yellow or orange coat with long hair, and can weigh up to 120 pounds. It can leap more than 19 feet, and it can run at speeds up to 37 miles per hour. There are only 60 living in the wild and 200 in zoos around the world.

Bornean Orangutans have a broad faces and short beards. They are critically endangered and their population has declined by 60% since 1950. According to zoologists, new projections estimate that there numbers will fall another 22% by the year 2025.

This is very sad because most of these animals are going extinct because of humans. When I get older, I would like to see some of these animals. They are very rare and interesting to me. I would also want my family to see these animals because, once they are extinct, they are gone forever.
