Nothing last forever

I’ve learned many lessons in my life, one was to never take anything for granted, don’t assume something will last forever because it won’t. Instead of waiting for things to change or happen take control of it.

On April 24, 2016 I lost my older cousin Dakota to an unexpected overdose, that was my first account of having a lifeless loved one in my arms. I waited and watched in the hospital room and saw him turn from white to purple in the matter of minutes but it felt like hours. My mind wasn’t on my pain, but I was wondering of the future. What will his daughter think? All the things she’ll never experience, a father daughter bond no one can ever show her. My thoughts changed to what I should’ve done instead of what I did.

On December 3rd, 2016 I lost one of the most important people in my life, my grandpa. The only man who stayed in my life was taken away from me and there wasn’t a thing I could do about it. I was devastated and once again found myself thinking of the things I should’ve done. Now I only hate myself for what I knew I needed to do but didn’t. Someone I thought would walk me down the aisle one day at my wedding and many other things is only in my mind now. If I would’ve known what was soon to happened I would appreciate everything the two of them did at all times.

I’ve learned to love harder and show my feelings so I know the ones around me know I care. Life is so blinding you never know the next struggle you’ll face. Don’t care when it’s too late, the last argument can be the last words mounted into your head. Take every day and make the best out of it and never take anything for granted. As soon as you think somethings not going anywhere it’s taken.

The big rivalry

On Saturday November 25, 2017 another Ohio State and Michigan game was televised. If you tuned in, you saw that Ohio State won for the sixth year in a row. Ohio State and Michigan is one the biggest rivalries in college football and maybe even in sports period.

The rivalry started in 1897 when Michigan won and the final score was 36-0. Ever since then, this game has been getting a lot attention in college football. It has been played annually since 1918, and at the end of the regular season since 1935. The location has altered every year; Michigan hosts in odd years and Ohio State hosts in even years.

Even though I’m an Ohio State fan, Michigan still leads in the series with the record of 58-49. In spite of the major rivalry, I hope one day that I can attend a game with my granny because she is a huge Michigan fan. I want her to be there with me when Ohio State defeats Michigan in Ann Arbor or Columbus.

Broken trust

“You brought the flames and you put me through hell, I had to learn how to fight for myself and we both know all the truth I could tell, I’ll just say this is I wish you farewell.” -Ke$ha

Dear ex boyfriend,

I’m not going to lie the past few weeks have felt like hell, but it’s not because of the break up, even though that is part of the reason. What has made this so much worse is the betrayal and you know what I’m talking about.

The break-up should have been the worst thing to have happened between us, but it’s not. And no, I will not give you a light letter because I am so angry and upset with you it’s not even funny.

I received some messages from friends of yours calling me nasty names. I told you about them thinking that you had no idea where the messages came from, only to find that you were the cause of them…while we were together.

How low can you go?

I went to the cop at the school for harassment. What you did should have a consequence, but so far nothing has been done and I’m angry about it. You shouldn’t get away with it. The one person that I was supposed to trust threw it in the trash and it really hurts. You hurt me so much.

I’ve been in a bad relationship before so I should be used to it, but that’s the problem. I shouldn’t be used to it, you were supposed to be different and I was happy, but now I’m left to deal with the pieces that you broke.

The worst thing about betrayal is to know that it’s done by someone you trusted the most. I don’t know when I’ll forgive you for everything you have done, but right now I’m just going to hold my head up high and hope that things smooth out.

Treat the next girl with the love and respect she deserves.

Terrible teachers

School is important and is a starting point to the rest of our lives.
Our teachers have an impact on our success. They try to teach us what they know and what is required so that we can pass and move on from their class. Some teachers just aren’t good at teaching, even if they have knowledge on the subject.

Teaching isn’t a skill that everybody posses, so shouldn’t we be able to grade our teachers on their teaching just like how they grade us on our school work? Imagine how resourceful that would be for the kids in the future if we were to do that. Some teachers lack the ability to actually teach. Shouldn’t we be able to adjust some things that could possibly better our future and the future of others?

I think the opinions of the students could be useful because, like I said previously, some teachers just can’t teach. They lack the ability to transfer their information to us and this could possibly hurt our grades if we let it. I’m not saying teachers cause failure because they don’t, you can always get help from another teacher who has knowledge on what’s being taught. It would make things easier if we didn’t have to go out of our way to do that.

In conclusion, I think the way our teachers teach has an impact on us. We shouldn’t have to struggle and teach ourselves what the teacher should be teaching us. That’s what some of us have to do, but only with some teachers. Our grades are important and we earn them; it’s not something that’s given to us, but the only way we can earn our grade is if we learn and succeed. It’s harder to do that if we aren’t being taught correctly.
